Hi all.
I am evaluating CS2002 for my organization. I have installed CS2002 SP3,
FP1, and the CS2002 Starter Site. After much trial and tribulation, I
finally got the Starter Site to run correctly. However, I'm having an odd
problem in which the Starter Site Business Desk opens, but the Catalog Editor
function is not available in the Catalog Menu.

The other choices are available (Catalog Definition Designer, Catalog Sets),
but no Catalog Editor.

I had installed one of the other solution Sites (the VB one) and the Catalog
Editor shows up correctly in that Business Desk.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Hi Brian,

In FP1, the Catalog Editing functionality is not available through the
BizDesk any more. With the FP1 there is a WinForms applications "Catalog
Manager" through which catalog editing is done. You'd have to migrate the
catalogs, install the CatalogManager web service (from Fp1.pup), use
azman.msc to setup the permissions also before you're able to work with
Catalog Manager UI.

The Catalog editing functionality in Bizdesk in Fp1 has been replaced with
Catalogmanager appication.

Hi guys

Thanks for your help. I have found and installed the catalog manager. It
won't let me manage any catalogs, though. I will need to try and migrate the
catalog.

Thanks
Brian

What is the problem you are facing?

If the manage catalog link is disabled then see point 9 in this article
