Hello all,

I am new to commerce server. I just inherited a site that I was told
up until a couple months ago was working fine... Everything works with
netscape and firefox, but in internet explorer, it seems to not keep
the shopperID, so it cannot update the basket or check out cause a new
shopper id gets created. Is this a known problem that just came about
a couple months ago or has it been discussed here already. i tried
searching but didn't find anything.

Thanks,
David

David,
Are your cookies turned off? Or do you have some sort of cookie
blocker set up?

CS requires cookies to track your userId. So cookies must be enabled.
There are other ways to make your site cookie-less, but the "cleaner"
approach is to ensure that clients are cookie-enabled.

No I don't think that's it. I can see the cookie on my hard drive.
and if that were the case then ShopperID would never be created cause
the GetShopperID wouldn't be able to set the cookie. I was thinking it
might be a cookie problem, but can't figure it out.

For example on my Basket.asp page I am printing out the contents of my
shopperID (mscsPage.GetShopperID) and it shows something like this
TP1XMAJ7JGT58GET3NQ3CS3VFTB9FJLC but let's say I refresh this
basket.asp once...the shopperID stays the same...if i refresh twice,
then the shopperID is now different???

Any help is appreciated.
