Hi all,
I have been thinking is there any way to assign priority to house ads?
I have got CS 2002 and MCMS 2002 web site. To retrieve appropriate ads
from the Commerce Server I am using the ContentSelector. One of the
clients requirements is to have some custom value "priority",
through BizDesk, so each campaign can be assigned a Priority Value
between x and y. Is there easy way to do this? I have no idea how to do
this except introducing some name convention and then parse the content
which ContentSelector returns to me.

Regards:
Greg

Hi Gregor,

The way the CSF dishes out ad content is explained in the documentation
available at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d....asp?frame=true

How one goes about modifying weights and other Ad properties is through the
BizDesk irrespective of wether you're or not using MSCS FP1.

Thanks Ravi, I knew that article but any ideas how could be the best
way to implement that functionality? Is any way to extend Ad properties
by adding new property "priority" and still using MSCS?
Cheers

Hi Gregor,

The way I can think of what you wish to acheive is
1. Create your own Campaign Resource
2. Create your own CSF Pipeline Components that would do the Ad scoring
based on your parameters
3. Using the above components create your own CSF pipeline which you call
to get the ad required.

However it has always been my understanding that the priority in which the
AD content is dished out can be controlled using the exposure limits & weight
property in the current CSF.
