Author BizDesk Fails to Find Products

Hello All,

I have a BizDesk 2000 installation that is failing to find any
products.

I can log into BizDesk, I can open catalogs. I can enumerate
categories and their products.

But when I search for products, nothing is returned. I get the same
result whether I'm searching using a keyword search of a product
property search. The (empty) search returns immediately.

As a result, I'm unable to edit my catalog.

I'm stumped on this. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks,
-tomas

This might be related to IE7 or ms02-061.

George,
Thanks for your reply but I don't think this is my problem.

Here are some more "clues"

I was running BizDesk when (in my browser) I opened BDRefresh.asp
(CS2002).

After that, my instance of BizDesk has stopped finding records.

I then installed BizDesk on a second workstation and logged in
normally. BizDesk worked as expected on the second workstation. But
the first workstation has stopped responding.

I've had this complain from my client also: his BizDesk has stopped
finding records. He has had to install BizDesk on a second workstation
(and in one case had the second workstation also stop finding
records).

It almost seems that the client has a "cookie" (or some other
semaphore) set that is preventing the search from running.

I have stopped and restarted the SQL server (but not IISreset on the
web server).

Any other ideas on what might cause the BizDesk client to not return
any records?

Thanks,
-tomas

I would try the workaround in the article and see if it helps.
This is a issue we have seen recently.
Let me know if the workaround helps or not.

Hi Geoges,

Does Microsoft will create an hotfix to correct the references to MSXML
2=2E6 in the BizDesk source code or do you think that it will be include
in a future Commerce Service Pack?

Thanks!
