Please anyone can give me guidance as to what to do next I will appreciate it.
So far Joseph Johnson and Colin Bowern have been helping me and I am
thankful to them. But since the problem has changed I am posting under a new
title.

Many thanks

This looks like a DTC Configuration issue, can you confirm that you have
DTC configured per the below steps?

To turn DTC Access on :

From the Start menu, double-click Control Panel, double-click

Administrative Tools, and then double-click Component Services.

Expand Component Services, and then expand Computers.

Right-click the computer you need to set, and from the context menu select

Properties.

In the Properties window, select the MSDTC tab.

In the Transaction Configuration area, click Security Configuration.

In the Security Settings area, make sure the Network DTC Access check box

is selected.

In the Security Settings area, check the Network Clients check box.

Check the "No Authentication Required" in the Transaction Manager
Communication.

Click OK on each open dialog box.

Restart your computer to enable the remote DTC option.

Warning This configuration could take up to 15 minutes.

Thanks,
Alan Faulkner

Hi Alan,

Many thanks for the steps. The only thing that I have encountered is that
since I am using Windows 2003 R3 Server, I could not find this option -
Network Clients check box mentioned in the step - "In the Security Settings
area, check the Network Clients check box. "

So I am still facing the same error. I am here by providing you with the
options which I have available and if you or anyone could just tell me which
to check or un check, then I think we would be in business.

Security Settings Box
->Network DTC Access (check box) (As you instructed I have checked this)
--->Client & Administration Box
------>Allow Remote Clients (check box)
------>Allow Remote Administration (check box)
--->Transaction Manager Communication
------>Allow Inbound (check box)
------>Allow Outbound (check box)
--------->Mutual Authentication Required (radio/option button)
--------->Incoming Caller Authentication Required (radio/option button)
--------->No Authentication Required (radio/option button) (As you
instructed I have selected this one)
------>Enable Transaction Internet Protocol (TIP) Transactions (check box)
-> Enable XA Transactions. (check box)

These are the options and the best layout I can put down.

Please if you could let me know then I will be able to successfully import
the data.

Many thanks,
Shriroop.

Hey Shriroop,

It sounds like the message you are seeing was something that was introduced
in Service Pack 1 (aka R2). In the following support article you'll want to
check out the "Issues that are related to the Distributed Transaction
Coordinator service" section as it highlights two important steps that you
will want to try on *both* the web server and database server:

New functionality in the Distributed Transaction Coordinator service in
Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 and in Windows XP Service Pack 2

Cheers,
Colin

Hey Colin,

Many thanks for the answer. Simultaneously I also found some results from
MSDN. Hope this link would help someone who is facing problems on MS DTC like
me. Here is the link - http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa544689.aspx

I appreciate the help provided by Colin and Alan on this issue.

Regards
Shriroop.
