Hi,
Our ecommerce site "laspki" was working fine till yesterday. all of a
sudden, when i try to open the site it started to ask for username/pwd
for connecting to the site. After 3 attempts of logging it shows
"Access denied" page. All the settings in IIS, like anonymous access,
integrated windows authentication are all set. Couldn't figure out
where exactly is the problem.
Any inputs on this would be of great help.

Regards,
Kiran

Hi Kiran,

Have you checked the NTFS permissions to ensure the anonymous user account
has read/list priviledges in the folders containing the web content? What
is the specific access denied error (e.g. 401.3, 403.1, etc...)? Have you
tried using Filemon to trace the activity of the web worker process?

Cheers,
Colin

denied" on it.

A very far fetched idea is that the a/c you've created for running the IIS
App pool for hosting the Commerce Site has expired its password (which you'd
have accidentally forgotten to set to "no expiry")
