Hi all,

We recently went live, and we wish to set up a copy of the system. Whist
creating our model office, we had problems with SQL Server collation. This
resulted in some work being done to resolve this but unfortunately it failed.

What we have subsequently done is copy our databases from the live server to
the model office server. This appears to be okay apart from one thing. If we
change a profile detail on the MO, it changes on the Live!

I have done the following

1) Updated the commerce server manager connection strings to point to the
new model office.
2) Added host file values in the hope that if a live server is accessed, it
redirects to the model office.

What settings do I need to change to ensure that both systems are completely
isolated?

Thanks

Davey

There is one more connection string that you need to update. This is the
profile system connection string that is used to connect to the DB that
contains profile data. It's stored in the 'ConnStr' column of the
'SourceDef' table.

Hope this helps,
David
