Ok, fair enough. But surely I should be able to get SQL 2005 working
with commerceserver 2002 .net 1.1 on the app server connecting with sql
authentication to the DB server.

It can connect to the catalogues DB ok, the administration db ok, but
won't work unless the profiles db is on SQL 2000.

Gives this error:
Invalid connection (Please check the connection string). Login failed
for user 'my_user'.[42000] Data provider could not be
initialized.[42000]

Thanks for any other advice.
