No. of Database connections in a Commerce Server 2002 site

| When we open our Commerce Server 2002 site, there is a minimum of 97
connections that come up when the first user logins into the site. Is that a
default value? Can we change that number of DB connections and does it have
any implications?

| Nope, it is not a default value. It depend on which all CommerceModules you
choose to activate along with your site. Each of the resources you see under
your site (and ) Profile create DB connections.
This is one of the reasons that SQL Server licensing for Commerce Server is
always Processor based and not CAL based licensing.
