Hello,

I have a problem. I would like to unpack a .pup file (Csharp.pup,
empty.pup etc.) everything goes fine but when wizards tries to import
the Transaction config a COM+ error comes up and no data is imported.
Here is the error line from the pup.log file.

Error importing object data for Transaction Config from file
C:\Documents and Settings\Philip\Local Settings\Temp\Transaction Config
8004E024:COM+ activation failed because the activation could not be
completed in the specified amount of time. (Exception from HRESULT:
0x8004E024)

This happens both to RC1 and the final evaluation version of CS 2007.

Philip Hristov

Hi,

This should be fixed in the version available here:
http://www.microsoft.com/commercese...al/default.mspx

When you say you are on the final eval version what build are you on?

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,

I am using exactly this trial version of Commerce Server 2007. I
uninstall it and reinstall it again several times.

But I think I fixed problem. I deleted the Transaction Config resource
and I tried to install it from the csharp.pup file, another error
appeared - something about Microsoft Distributed Transaction
Coordiantor. It says I have to enable its network access. I enabled
this and I was able to install the Transaction Configuration.

However it still won't install when I try to setup new CS Site. The
same COM+ acvtivation error.

Regards,

Philip Hristov.

Philip,

I am not sure if this will resolve your problem but it is needed to unpup
on a Windows 2003 machine. It's not a CS specific fix but it is documented
in the install guide. Make sure you have it applied:
