Reinstalling Commer Server 2002

| A production server of ours suffered some kind of operating system failure
(not sure how) and the company that hosts our server was unable to restore
the system because the backups weren't any good. The production server is up
and running again, but with a brand new OS. It looks like we have to
reinstall everything -- I dread having to reinstall Commerce Server 2002.
Is there any way that we can take the install from our old drive, copy it
over to our new drive and make it work? Otherwise, between MSCS 2002, SP3,
FP1, and all the hotfixes, other fixes that had to be made from working with
Microsoft technical support, etc, it is going to be a bear to get things
running again. Thank goodness the site isn't live yet.
Thanks for any help in advance,
Doug

| Because of the myriad of installation and configuration steps that are
involved in the installation, there is no way of copying over an
installation from another computer.
What you could do is use the Add/Remove programs applet from the first
install to list out all the Commerce Server related installs that you have
on that computer (including the Feature Pack, Service Packs, hotfixes, etc.)
Then use that list to install the same components on your new computer.
Hope that helps,
madhur

| Is this the regular Add/Remove feature found in the Control Panel?
