Commercer Server 2002 sp2 on Windows Server 2003

| I have not been able to find any specific listing as to whether or not CS
2002 sp2 will run on Windows 2003 sp1. Do I need to update CS 2002 up to sp3
for it to work?

| When Commerce Server 2002 SP2 released, Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 was not
yet available.
The current support policy includes "Previous" service pack support for up
to one year after the subsequent service pack releases (for most all
products), so please do use the latest fully validated & supported platform
including Commerce Server 2002 with Service Pack 3 and Windows Server 2003,
with Service Pack 1.

| Unfortunatly I am in a situation where developement on the current Commerser
server 2002 sp2 site has been frozen but hosting must continue. I would like
to ensure that the database server and web servers all stay updated with
security patches. I am not sure that I can apply CS sp3 without breaking the
site as there were concerns that Feature pack 1 would break protions. Any
advice?

| Commerce Server Service Pack 3 can be applied without the Feature Pack.
The Feature pack is an optional installation (it can be applied on CS2002
SP2 or CS2002 SP3).
When CS2002 SP3 is installed on a non Feature Pack 1 installation, no
feature pack features are applied - only the latest rollup of Commerce
Server 2002 Hot-Fixes are applied.

| How much of the Back end of CS 2002 is changed in sp3? What is the likely
hood that my site will break after updating? Unfortunatly we are in the
process of replacing the developer of the site code and do not have any
experts on staff to address development issues at this time.
