Author Error: failure in catalog resolve from OrdersWebService

I have installed and configured Commerce Server 2007 SP 1 according to
the installation instructions, on Windows 2003 Server, SP2.

When I now try to access the various webservices all of them respond
fine, except for the OrdersWebService.

When I try to browse orderswebservice.asmx I get the following error/
exception:

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Error: failure in catalog
resolve, hr: -2147483326

I'm logged on as Administrator. I have not created anything with any
of the Business Applications (the install doc. does not mention that
as a requirement for the webservices to work).

Googling this error message unfortunately reveals nothing.

I don't know if this has anything to do with this problem, but the
last SQL statement sent to the database is:

SELECT SourceAttribID,
DisplayName,
Description,
CreatedTime,
ModifiedTime,
MajorVersion,
MinorVersion,
Status,
SourceName,
AttribName,
AttribType,
ValSTR,
ValNum
FROM SourceAttrib
WHERE CatalogName = 'Profile Definitions'

This gives no result, since the SourceAttrib table is empty. Should
anything be here?

I don't really have much experience with Commerce Server - yet - any
hints as to the cause of this would be much appreciated.

Sincerely yours,
