we have developed an application attached to the commerce server retail2002
and this application have to groups... one group with ful control permission
and the view group with just a read-only permission. whenever we try to log
on. based on the group.. both groups have no permission. can you please help
in this issue.

I think you're misunderstanding the security model of the Retail2002 site.

When you say one group with full-control and one with read-only, do you
mean that you applied ACLs to the ASPX pages? Or something else?

Don't confuse Authentication with Authorization. Retail2002 supports a
variety of authentication methods (documented) but has a pretty basic
authorization model - users are anonymous or authenticated, and various
site functions like checkout may require an authenticated user. There's no
"read only" functionality built in.

Can you be more specific of how you applied the permissions and what you
are expecting? Maybe we can help.
