Hi,

I installed Retail2002 from our development environment to Staging
environment. In Development, CS2002 and SQL 2000 are in Samebox and
the OS is windows 2000. In Staging they are in two different boxes.
Also in Staging we are using Windows 2003. The Development box is
working fine. But when we packed and unpacked it in staging we get the
following error.

AuthManager(CommerceServer): Call to SiteConfig:;Initialize() failed,
for Commerce-Site: 'Retail2002'. Check SiteName Or
ResourceName/PropName that you are looking for

I have created ASPNET user in SQL Server box.
I have modified machine.config file and addded this username and
password in <Processmodel> Attribute.
I have given <identity impersonate="true"> and the username ,password
in this attribute.

Please let me know if there are any settings to be modified ?

Thanks in Advance

Ravi

Hi Ravi, do you have CS 2002 SP2 installed on your Staging server? SP2 is
required for Windows 2003 support.

If you do have SP2 installed, please clarify if you getting the error after
packing and unpacking the site on the Staging CS server or if you are
packing on the Development CS server and then unpacking on the Staging CS
server.

Does Commerce Server Manager (MMC) launch and display your site/application
information properly on the Staging CS server? I ask this because CSM uses
the SiteConfig object, so if CSM is working properly,
SiteConfig::Initialize is succeeding for it.

One other thing to check at this point is which accounts are given the
Administrators role on the Commerce Server Config COM+ application (using
the Component Services MMC snap-in). Make sure that the account that is
logged in running the Site Packager is included in this COM+ application's
Administrators role.
