Hi,

I have install Commerce servers 2002 std ed in two
computers in NLB cluster. When i unpack the blank site,
it ran successfully in the first node. However, when i
perform the same procedure and unpack the blank site with
the option "choosing add a web server to an existing
application in an existing site". It returns the error
message that "There is no application in the package with
the same name as the application to which you are adding a
web server." I would like to know what does it means and
how can i deploy the blank site in two NLB nodes
successfully. Thanks

Hello,

When you choose "Add a Web server to an existing application in an existing
site", the next screen requests the site you're adding to. Make sure you
select the correct existing site (I'm assuming you did). In the next
screen, you select which application you are adding the Web server to. Be
sure to only select applications that already exist in the site. Otherwise,
you will get the error message you are seeing when you click Next. For
example, if you did not unpack the blankbizdesk application on your first
server, be sure to unselect blankbizdesk in the select application screen.

The error message is shown because Site Packager cannot match the
application you're unpacking with an existing application in the site (it
does this match using the application key name which does not change if you
change the application's display name in Commerce Server Manager).

If the problem still occurs after you select application(s) that you
believe are present, try packing the site on your first server and creating
a new .pup file. Use this new .pup file when unpacking on the second server
to add it as a Web server.
