When I attempt to install SP2 on MCS 2002 Developer Edition, I get the error, "Setup cannot add RegCompany to uninstall registry entries." Can anyone help?

Also, I am confussed by the installation instructions "Deploying Commerce Server Using Windows Authentication" in the help file. I am confused if steps 4 - 16 are also a part of installing MCS using Microsoft Windows Integrated Security. Once you get t
o Step 4, it asks you to install a solution site (or unpack a .pup). Are steps 5 - 16 a continuation of installating Commerce Server, or do they only apply to setting up a solution site?

And one last question on this... If steps 5 - 16 pertain only to setting up a solution site, will choosing the "Quick" mode when unpacking accomplish everything included in Steps 5 - 16?

Thanks for any help in advace!

Rip,

How did you install the developers edition? Make sure that you follow
these instructions.

Installing Commerce Server 2002 Developer Edition on Windows XP or Windows
2000 Professional

Service Pack 2 includes a setup program that enables you to install
Commerce 2002 Developer Edition on Windows XP or Windows 2000 Professional.

To install Commerce Server 2002 Developer Edition on Windows XP or Windows
2000 Professional

On the Windows XP computer, download and extract Commerce Server 2002
Service Pack 2.
Navigate to the folder to which you extracted the service pack, and then
double-click SetupDevEdition.exe.
When prompted, select the product installer (.msi file) for Commerce Server
2002 Developer Edition, and then proceed with the installation as usual.
For Windows 2000 Professional, copy comdlg32.ocx from the
\System32\Redist\MS\System folder to <system path>:\WinNT\System.
After installing Developer Edition, double-click SP2Setup.exe to apply
Service Pack 2.
For instructions about running SP2Setup.exe, see Installing Service Pack 2
on One Computer.

Steps from 5 to 16 are configuring your site and no choosing the quick mode
will not do them.

Thanks

Sorry I did not reply sooner and thank you for your response. For some reason I didn't receive an email notification that someone replied. I will give this a shot. I gave up on installing Commerce Server 2002 because I couldn't find an answer. I will i
nstall CS 2002 later this week and hopefully this will solve my problem.

Thanks for your help, and one again I apologize for the delayed response.
