Receive the following error when installing CS2002 on
Win2K3:

Product: Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 Enterprise
Edition -- Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 WARNING: A
failure occurred in DeleteResource() on
c:\thorium\private\setup\ca_dll\admin.cpp:732. The error
description is:
Object has not been initialized
MSCSGroupConfigAdmin.cls:VerifyInit

Any ideas??

Gary,

I didn't find a whole lot on that error. Are you seeing anything in either
the Application event log, System event log, or the CS2ksetup.log.

Thanks
Kevin

Kevin

The error stated previously was in the Application Event
Log. There isn't anything in the System Event Log. I also
found the following error in the App Log:

Product: Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 Enterprise
Edition -- Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 WARNING: A
failure occurred in CA_PRED_InstantiateResource() on
c:\thorium\private\setup\ca_dll\predicto
r.cpp:59. The
error description is:
Argument passed to the Data Shaping Service was invalid.
GlobalConfig:Initialize

Where would I find the CS2KSetup.log?

Thanks

RAK

2004-07-21, 8:47 pm

Kevin,

I am having similar problems installing commerceserver 2000 dev edition. But the workaround for this as follows:

Rewrite the queries to fit this limitation.
Use the reshaping feature to break the recordset up into smaller queries.

hwo am I supposed to do that, its the installation...?

Thanks for your help!

Kevin

I actually found this fix shortly after my last post. I
applied it and then reinstalled commerce server and it
installed OK! Great minds think alike!
