Target Product Discounts Using Custom Attributes with FP1
|

| I am trying to set up a discount in FP1 that will be for all products
that have a certain custom attribute value. When you use the
selection picker dialog in the Discount Manager, you are able to find
products that meet a certain condition based on fields in the
CatalogAttributes table. For example, I might add an attribute called
"Material" and I want to discount all products that have "Material ==
'Wood'."
Two questions then.
1. Is this possible with FP1?
2. If so, how do I go about it. Right now, I can only target
products based on product Id or Category. I could create a new
category for each custom attribute I have but I don't believe that is
an option.
Thanks for any help on this.

| Hey, Jonathan,
first of all, thanks for using FP1.
There are actually two ways to create catalog expressions in Discount Manager. Product picker is a quicker/easy way to create expression targeting to a specific product or specific
product category. If you want to build more complicated catalog expression (anything other than category or product ID), then you can use expression builder. File menu --> New -->
Expression --> catalog expression.
