Hi,

Using FP1 I've defined a discount, buy anything, if order value in excess of
400 and user profile.some characterstic is true then give Order Discount for
10%. I've attached a Public Coupon defintion to this and approved the
discount.

Now my understanding (based on the FP1 doumentation) is that any user can
utilize the coupon once per transaction and the only restriction on the
number of such transactions are controlled by the coupon usage but that is
across the entire set of registered users.

What I'm observing is that if User A avails this once then in subsequent
transactions they cannot avail it ???

Is there a usage limit associated with the promotion code?

For a public promotion code, this usage limit is not per user, so the only
reason I could see that the same user wouldn't be able to avail the
discount again is if the usage limit for the public promotion code were
reached.

Did you capture a pipeline log? You might want to also set
pipeContext._trace_discounts = true in concert with the log to get more
information about why the discount didn't apply the second time.
