Hi,
1) Is there any limit to the number of product variants allowed under a
product.

2) We have a requirement such that there are about 50,000 to 10,00,000
product variants for each product in a single catalog. The total number of
variants in the catalog is about 3,00,00,000. Is this much variant
combinations supported in CS 2002. The database gets really slow after
inserting about 20,000 product variants for every single product.

Thanks

There is no hard coded limt. However for performance reasons you should
design your catalog in such a way that the number of variants in a product
fall upto a reasonable number (upto 5000 variants)

When I am adding product variants for a product in a catalog after entering about 115 variants I am getting this warning message :

Number of records is greater than the maximum allowed (2,000,000,000). Please specify a filter or further search criteria to fetch a smaller list.

However, there is no filter criteria in bizdesk for this particular screen (adding product and product variants to a base catalog).

Any thoughts, please share

Thanks in advance,

Surya
