Hi,

Really quick question about programmatically creating product definitions:

I have created a few properties using the Catalog and Inventory Schema
Manager app and have marked them as "Assign to All Product Types". If I then
go to Create a new Product Definition from the app, upon creation, all these
properties are automatically pulled in. But, when I do the same using the
Catalog API and CreateDefinition(), those properties are not automatically
pulled in. Any ideas as to why? Do I have to add all of these properties as
Base Properties to get around this?

Any help would be appreciated. I ask alot of questions because I have never
used Commerce Server and I'm trying to get up to speed with a product that
doesn't fully exist yet, so thanks for the patience,

Dave

Hi Dave,

The value for the "AssignAll" property is respected only in the Catalog and
Inventory Schema Manager UI and is not respected by the susb system. This
is documented in the topic for
"CatalogPropertiesDataSet.CatalogProperty.AssignAll Property " .

Thanks
Sudha
