What do you mean by "I get this error when trying to save more than 3
variant combinations for a
product using the catalog manager". So the scneario is something like, open
a product for editing, add three variants and hit Save?

Yes, I open a product, add three variants and I get the error when I hit
save. It appears to be an occasional problem, and is not consistent across
products.

It seems to happen a lot when I use BizDesk to first edit a product
definition by adding a new variant attribute, then if I go into any existing
product under that product definition(through the CS Web Service) and try to
edit the variants by specifying values for the new variant attribute.

Hi,

I usually find that after changing definitions that the app usually
needs to be recycled to register these new definition changes otherwise
it usually causes an error. You may be able to get away with just
flushing out the product cache.

If the products that are being changed are in a virtual catalog this
also may need rebuilding.
