Today is your lucky day.

I did manage to make it work. I still don't know if it's a bug or by design.

In my case, it didn't worked because the port had "Transactional" import.
Try using non transactional. For whatever reason, this made a difference for
virtual catalogs.

Let me know if it worked for you.
