| Hi,
I've been looking for a conclusive answer to this question.
I have an RH 9 server upon which I have installed the
FP2002 SE and they seem to be working and I can reach the
admin pages.
However when I try to connect to the server using FP98, the
following errors are generated in the servers 'messages' log:
Dec 10 08:56:23 blade3 Microsoft FrontPage Server
Extensions: http://blade3 - Error #4000a Message: An error
occurred accessing your FrontPage web files. Authors - if
authoring against a web server, please contact the
webmaster for this server's site. WebMasters - please see
the server's system log for more details. (userid 48)
Dec 10 08:56:34 blade3 Microsoft FrontPage Server
Extensions: http://blade3 - Error #4000b Message: Client
closed connection. (userid 48)
So, as far as I can see, FP98 is not compatible, but I can
find no reference on either the rtr web site or microsoft's
web site that will validate this.
Has anyone found a solution or work around? If not, I
guess I will dump the FP extensions and move everyone to
DreamWeaver.
