Hello Folks :
I am using FP 2003 with FP Extensions installed on the
hosting server.
Since I have just changed to a new computer and have been
trying to publish since 2 weeks now. After I click publish
selected files. If the file is a small size like less than
100 KB it publishes OK. If the File is about 1 MB then a
message box comes up and says "The server unexpectedly
closed the connection"
Thus I cannot publish multiple images or music clips.
Please help.
This problem has just started since I switched to a new
computer. Ther was no problems this way for atleast 2
years now.
Please Help and guide me as to what may be wrong !
Thanks !
Kirti

Hello Kathleen :
I visited the link you have provided in your reply.
Unfortunately my problem just started when I started
publishing from my new computer.
The same site was being published with no problems from my
old computer. I was using FP2003 then and now.
The message box that comes up doesnot have any details. It
just says the server unexpectedly closed connection.
Please shed some light as to what the problem could be.
Reagrds !

The 1MB problem also has other (as yet unknown) causes, and may or may
not affect some systems (system here relates to a combination of your
PC and the publishing destination).

One option to get around this is to place all your media files in a
folder, and convert this folder to a subweb. Open the live (remote)
web and create the same subweb there. Then use FTP to transfer the
files from subweb to subweb. All this assumes your host allows
subwebs and FTP. Using FTP in the subweb will not affect your main
web or other subwebs, if any, but may prevent FrontPage from opening
the subweb in the future.
Once the media files are in the subweb, FrontPage will not be able to
manage the links between the files and pages that link to them.
