I have a website, that several users have been copying files/directories to
and from. At this point some forms that use FP extensions no longer work.
And attempting to publish them indicates that FP extensions are not installed
for this website.
In properties for this website, it indicates FP extensions are not installed.
Attempting in install FP extensions fails, and indicates that there are
files associated with FP extensions in various subwebs. (service.cnf and
services.cnf)
Is there a way to repair this installtion of FP extensions?

You must stop them from "copying" files and directories. This is what's
causing the problem. They must http publish.

You also didn't tell us what version of FP extensions.

Have you tried running a "check and fix" or "health", depending on the
version?

You may have to try *uninstalling* them and then try to reinstall.

And, you may have to actually delete the webs and reinstall extensions and
do a complete new publish.
