FTP server to Internet

I am currently using FP 2000 version 4.0 and am having problems publishing
the site. I am trying to update my employer's website with name changes and
such, and am able to publish to the FTP server and my changes show up there,
but not on the www site. I feel like I'm missing a step and I can't figure
it out. Any help would be appreciated!

Using FTP has corrupted the FP SE
- have your host reinstall them
