I removed FP 2002 server extensions from my website via IIS.
I cleaned up _vti* files under the website directory and _private files,
I removed the local groups that are created by SharePoint.

I have not been able to configure the extensions again for this website.

When I go thru the tool to 'extend' , I hit submit and it just sits there
saying to wait while it installs.. nothing happens!!

I am on a Windows 2003 server..

does anybody know if there are other files that need to be removed?

TIA

You should never have to remove any files from a web when you remove the FP extensions in IIS
Try reinstalling IIS and reinstalling the SE
