Author how do I determine what file extensions are?

Every time I try to update my website from FrontPage the program says I need
Windows Sharepoint or file extensions. I recently updated to FrontPage 2003

Try this,
In FrontPage, Tools menu --> Page Options.
Select Authoring Tab, clear the option Share Point services. Try updating
your web site.
