Author Page not found when I do a search

I am very new to front page. I am trying to use the one of the search
templates to search pages in my web. The search page loads fine but once I
click the search page I get "...../_vti_script/search.htm0.idq" page not
found. I cant find this folder or page anywhere in my site. Do I need to
enable Indexing on the server? and how do I do that?

TIA
