Hello,

I am trying to delete some local users from Server 2003 with Frontpage
Server Extensions 2000 using either owsadm or web administration form.

This error shows up with out without specifying the local machine
name.
"Error: "STUDENTFP\testuser" is not a local account name. You may only
delete local user accounts. Check the spelling of the user account,
or specify a user account without a domain name."

I had previouly set "AccountTracking" to false. I am not sure whether
this is a fix for this. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Scott

I am definitely not an expert on this, but I would think you would want
to access the Active Directory - Users and Computers application in the
Administrative Tools on the server box, find the Authors group for that
site, and remove the users from there. Just a guess. There is probably
a snapin that allows you to do that remotely from your client computer.

Well... I need to delete the users the correct way using FPSE
management tools. If the user is deleted without removing it with
FPSE then that username can't be used again.

Hopefully somebody has dealt with this problem.
