urgent: FrontPage Search error
|
|
|
| Hi,
I get the following error when using search:
"Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML
interpreter on this non-HTML page:
http://www.mydomain/search.htm"
Seems that when I FTP the search.htm to the hosting
provider, extra code is added to the file by the server
extensions. My local version of the site works fine. Is
there any way to work around this ?

| You can't ftp. For the search component and other FP server extensions
components to work, you must http publish to the site that is using server
extensions.
You need to contact your host to check and fix, or reinstall the server
extensions which are most likely now corrupted.
