Author Publishing problems (frontpage)

When I try to publish my web, I get this error message: "Server unexpectedly terminated the connection" or "server connection timed out " This happens right after folders are created and the first file is getting published, suddenly I get "processing web
updates" and the error message.

I have recalculated hyperlinks, deleted temporary files, tried different publishing options (all pages or changed pages only etc), nothing works!

Any suggestions?

Have you contacted your host to see if they will increase the timeout

PS
are you trying to publish large files ?
how large is your web ?

my web is about 15 MB. I have talked to my host, and they say there are no problems on their side

Consider breaking it up into subwebs to reduce the publishing cycle
