Hi,

We have been having trouble in retrieving the usage reports from our web
server.

This is a Win2K box hosting multiple sites all with dedicated IP's. FPSE
2002.

The message that is displayed is as follows:-
"There is no usage information available because no data is being collected
for this web. To Collect usage data, contact the server administrator".

I am the server administrator. All logging is enabled and the process time
is set.

Could someone please shed some light on the subject...

Thank you in advance.

Hi Dale,

Run CMD
CD C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\50\bin
owsadm -o usage -p 80

This should generate the Usage analysis for the site running on port 80.
Check if this works. If it does, then you could check if the Sharepoint
Timer service is in manual mode, change it to automatic.

Regards,
Vijay

Thank you for your response but after more investigation i have found the
actual issue.

It is down to ProcessAccounting Logging.
IF this is enabled then the FPSE 2002 do not process the usage logs.. MS has
agreed this to be an issue in FPSE2002.
