Accessing problems

I am hosting a couple of simple pages for a business, and
every once in a while they'll call me to say the sites
down.

I'm running this on a DSL 640k up & downstream, W2k SP4
server, firewall, etc, etc. I am also running a DNS
server on the same W2K box that IIS is running.

How can I find out if there is a problem with IIS, DNS or
what would be causing this? I've checked the server
logs, and they don't ever say there's a problem.
