| System specs for reference:
IIS 5.1 - Windows XP
FrontPage XP/2002
Server extensions 2002 and default 2000
VS .NET and .NET 1.1 Framework installed
users set up for authoring and advanced authoring
I can open up the web via "http://localhost" using
FrontPage "Open Web" command, but I can not access it
from another XP box regardless if i use my admin username
and password to access the web.
My network is based on the default mshome.net using a
workgroup hub. I can get a prompt for username/pswd but
then recieve the error "This folder http://<machinename>
(or http://<ip address> ) is not accessible. It may be a
protected by a password, or filename contains a / or \. "
Any ideas would be appreciated...

| Hi Tony,
In the XP box, browse to that site using Internet Explorer. Then Select
the Edit with Microsoft Office FrontPage in the File menu of IE. You can
also try opening the site using the Run command in the Start menu. Type
Frontpg http://machine-name or http://ipaddress.
If it is working, then this might be an issue related to web folders.
Please check the following KB article

Hope this helps
