FrontPage Server Extensions for Windows - when opening web site get Sharepoint error

when opening web site get Sharepoint error

When I try opening my web site I get the following error.

"The server does not appear to have Sharepoint Services
installed"

I had been reconfiguring IIS. I tried removing and
reinstalling extensions but still get this error message.

Thoughts???

is this a subdomain or a "Top Level Site"? WSS or Sharepoint?

When you get the message are you trying to connect to www.domain.com or domain.com ? I know in Sharepoint Active Directory OU installation... it makes a difference.
