Author consistently prompted for Network Pasword when closing .doc

Hi

Whenever I close any word files with extension .doc on my
website I am always prompted with the pop up window asking
for the Network Password and you have to cancel out of it
before proceeding.

The site is password protected before being able to enter
the site, but why when closing word documents does it re-
prompt for it? This does not happen when closing any other
files such as PDF or Excel just word files?

If anyone can help I would be so grateful... thanks.

Are you running the latest service packs for MS office? There have been some
bugs that have caused an odd behavior with office docs (usually asking for a
username/password when opening in a non-protected environment) and something
similar could be going on here as well.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Mark .. I have checked and we are running the
latest service pack.

If you have any other inspiration on this problem I'd be
grateful.

Thanks
Mary

Mary:
Is this happening only on your PC, the one you use to edit and publish the
web site? If so, you can delete the entry for the web under My Network
Places, and the prompt will stop, until the next time you open the web in
FrontPage. I think that's just the way it is.

If, on the other hand, it's happening to others, that's a different story.
