| I have heard that if you FTP to a FronPage site that the extensions will become corrupted and FP extensions will have to be re-installed to use the publish function. Is this fact or fiction?

| It isn't guaranteed to happen, but it can happen. So, fact.

| It, of course, depends on what materials you are ftp-ing to your site.
If you know what you are doing, and you religiously recalculate the web
after you ftp, you can manage the web with ftp. Otherwise, you can
corrupt the http meta-data and FPSE have to be removed and
reconfigured. Like owning a yacht, if you have to ask, you shouldn't
use ftp.
