Does Frontpage have a program within itself that will set
up a password protrection on my website? Something like a
Login program? unfortunally when I go through Microsofts
Help files - EXAMPLE:
http://www.myservername.com/mysubwebname

Type your name and password.
On the Tools menu, click Security, and then click
Permissions.
In the Permissions dialog box, click Use unique
permissions for this Web, and then click Apply.
Click the Users tab, click Only registered users have
browse access, and then click Add to add a user or users.
To do this, follow the steps appropriate to your
computer.

this does not work for me. I believe I may have limited
permission....
Unfortunalty, dreamweaver is looking more inviting since
this is providing way more complicated than it should...

Your host will have to support subwebs and unique permissions under the FP Server Extensions

I should express that I have Ftpage 2002,not 2003

SO these instructions will not work. Any other
suggestions?

The basic instructions *will* work for FP 2002.
If it looks too complicated, follow the instructions here (says FP2000, but
still the same):
