Can not add a global domain security group
|

| Hi,
I use FP Extensions 2002 on a W2K Server SP4 that belongs to a W2K domain.
I created a subweb with unique permissions.
When I try to add a user and type the group name in the field "Add user or
group name", i.e.: "dom\my group", click on the "browser" role and "add
user" this error message comes up:
"The group "dom\my group" cannot be added to the role(s) "browser" since
Windows does not allow local groups to be nested."
How can I solve this problem or MUST I add every user in Frontpage and do a
doubled user administration (domain / Frontpage)?
Ooops, I just got a workaround: using FP 2000 to assign the rights works
fine. But on the Web Server there are new domain local groups
OWS_xxxxxxxx_yyyyyyy automatically created with the domain global security
groups as members.
Thanks for every answer.

| Hi Hari,
thanks a lot. I did not find this KB article. Yes, my web-server is a domain
controller.
But: why does the creation of the OWS_ groups work from FP 2000 and not from
FP 2003 (the OWS_ groups are domain local groups)?
