"check server extension" returns garbage

| When right click a web site in IIS and select All Tasks >
Check Server Extension 2002, a page of garbage is
returned.
I saw the answer somewhere before but can't seem to find
it now.
Really appreciate if someone can provide insight.

| That's because FP 2002 extensions don't work through the IIS MMC
Try this: Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Microsoft
SharePoint Administrator
It brings up a web based FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 Server
