I've found several articles on integrating VSS with
FrontPage Extensions in IIS, but nothing seems to work.

All I need is that IIS should allow me to configure the FP
extensions so that "Visual SourceSafe" is an option for
source control. The VSS 6.0 client is installed with a
srcsafe.ini file that includes our srcsafe.ini via a UNC
path (the same VSS repo that we use for our product
development) and the ssapi.dll and ssscc.dll servers are
registered. Everything is correct in the registry. I've re-
installed the FP 2002 extensions several times to no avail.

To note, FrontPage itself is NOT installed on the web
server; why would we want/need it there? It's a server.
Some articles seem to indicate that this is required.

Other articles talk about VSS integration with FrontPage
and InterDev. This is not really what I'm after. What I
want is IIS/FP extensions to use VSS like some articles
say is possible (and I seem to remember using that in a
contract job several years back).

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I have googled
already but nothing seems to help. TIA
