| Hi
i am using FP2002 on WinXP home, i was hoping to publish to the local hard
drive to check out and work on the site whilst away from home office. I get
the message that certain things won't work like forms etc without FP
extension etc.
Is there a way i can do this to check all the sites functions will work
before uploading to the web?
all help greatly appreciated.
Rgds

| Depends on your OS (Win 2000, Win XP Pro)
If it supports IIS and the FP SE on your PC you can publish to your machine "server" as http://localhost

| PS
Just noticed you have Win XP Home
- does not support IIS
So you are limited to disc based webs unless you upgrade to Win XP Pro
- In the future please don't cross post

| Firstly......sorry about the x-posting, never know if i post on NTL server
if it comes up on Microsoft!!! always seems to be glitchy on NTL.
Secondly.
If i used partion magic and put XP Pro or NT on that bit would i still need
to download software for the extensions etc ? is this free to web developers
or how much am i looking at?
Thanks again
Rgds
