| I have created a form using FP 2003, and published it to
a web server that has 2002 server extensions enabled. I
have setup the email settings for a smtp server that I
have running on another server in my network. When I fill
out and submit the form this is the error message that I
get:
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log
for more details.
The server application event log shows no entry. What am
I missing. I had it working on IIS5 on win2k server, but
on this server win2k3 it wont work. TIA for any help.

| Hi Joe,
The FrontPage Error can spring from missing or corrupt extensions. It can also appear as a result of form properties settings.
Since you are attempting to submit to email, possibly the SMTP may not be set up for formmail.

Hi Guys,
I've been having the same problem Joe has been and I'm certain I've configured things correctly. I've reinstalled the extensions SEVERAL times and I know them to be working on a couple dozen other sites on the same server.
Any ideas what might prevent FrontPage from logging to the event log correctly?? |
