| Hi,
I use FP 2003. My navigation link bars work without problems, as long as I use the main theme of my site.
But I need, for readability reasons, to use at least one set of different-looking bars. So I right-clicked "Bar properties" (maybe the terms I use do not completely match the original English ones, I am french-speaking person using a french-speaking FP),
chose a theme that suited the colors of my site, and there was my new bar. On my local site.
I published the site via Frontpage and checked the site on line. Instead of my expected bar, I had a bar simply made of big bold characters.
So I opened the distant site in FP, and the bar looked perfect. So it has been published correctly, but is not "read" correctly.
I noticed that yet the process worked correctly with some themes (which dont suit me), not with some others. It works with "Binaire" (I think it is "zero" in English), not with "Outremer" or "Grand Bleu" (probably "deepblue" and "bluecalm").
So I reinstalled all the themes starting with my first version of FP, FP2000, to be sure they would all be recognized fully, but it did not help.
As I tried correcting things directly on the distant site, I got a message saying : " 404 Not Found
Not Found The requested URL /_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe was not found on this server. "
My hosting service says that it only has FP Extensions up to FP 2002 and not 2003. As far as I know, there are no FP2003 extensions (but dont trust me on that ;-) ).
An exemple can be found on the page http://www.tgo.be/rubriques_rtbfok.htm (low left) or http://www.tgo.be/articles_pc_world.htm (same).
It looks like a minor problem, and is here. But it will be important in a new site I am planning.
So many thanks in advance for any help.
