Problems FPSE 2002 on IIS 5.0 server
|
|
|
| Hello, I recently upgraded my server extensions to 2002,
on a Windows2000 advanced SP4 server running IIS 5.0.The
install runs without error, but I am unable to extend or
administer any website except the default"site'. I get no
option in the properties tab for Server extensions 2002
on my site, and in the all tasks menu, i also have no
option to 'configure 2002 server extensions'.When
I 'check server extensions' I get the following
error "the server administration programs and the server
extensions on the web server are not compatible, the
administration program is to old to use with this
server". I also can't use Sharepoint administrator to
extend or upgrade my site. I have uninstalled FPSE, re-
installed, rebooted, etc. Has anyone seen this one?
Thanks in advance. Dave

| FP2002 using Admin pages, look under Control Panel | Admin Tools for Server Admin.

| I tried using the "sharepoint admin' in Admin tools, and
it will not connect to site. My site is still running,
but when I tried to add a discussion forum, I get a Front
Page Run time component error when try to post. Should I
just forget it and leave the default 2000 extensions?
I find this error all over the web, but nothing for my
setup.

| Personally, I would leave the FP2000 extensions.
