Website and FP Extensions Running stand alone
|

| Have a website with forms and hot counters that runs well on the net...
I need to run this OFF the net stand alone yet have forms work.
Is this possible?
Not having much luck so far with it.. removed the email info from the form
(send); removed the SMTP stuff from the server.
So far I have tried this with a WXP Pro SP2 box as well as a WS2k3 SS
box...
Anyone?
TIA.

| As long as you are running Windows XP Pro and have installed IIS with the Extensions, and publish or
create or work with the site under http://localhost, then you shouldn't have any problems.

| And as forms are filled out, the mail entries will be created and queued
while the machine is off the net?
That's the part I need the audit trails that the emails/forms provide...

| As far as dealing with the email, that depends on if you have SMTP server installed that would
stores the outgoing messages until you are connected to an ISP that allows email messages to be
relay thru their network with no authentication, since the FP Form Handler can not provide any type
of authentication.
Most ISPs have or are turning the rely function of their email servers off to prevent spammer from
using their servers.
Your best option would be set this up to write to a database.
