FrontPage Forms errors

| we are running Windows Server 2003, IIS 6, FrontPage Server Extensions
2002 v5.0.2.5012. Out of the blue (while I was on vacation and
everyone swears no changes were made) all forms on the website have
stopped working. When the submit button is clicked the following
message appears
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more
details.
There are no messages in the Application Event Log about FrontPage or
IIS.
So far I have:
-Done a full uninstall of the FrontPage Extensions from the website.
-Uninstalled FrontPage Extensions from the server.
-Rebooted
-Downloaded and installed the current FrontPage 2002 extensions from
Microsoft.com
-Extended FPSE on the website.
-Configure the mail and users
I still get the same error.
The forms are supposed to append to a file in _private, send an email
and return a confimation page.
The only thing that is working is that the _private files are being
updated.
TIA,
Lenora

Have you opened the site directly in FP?
I find that this often helps reset forms properly. Open the form on the site
(do not create on your machine and just publish, open the site/page with
FrontPage directly) and make sure all your settings are right. Resave the
form and then try.

| Hi Lenora,
It is not recommended to download and install frontpage server extensions
2002 on a windows 2003 server. FPSE 2002 is bundled with windows server
2003 and you can install the same through Add/Remove Windows Components.
Check whether the SMTP settings are configured for the web site and also
make sure that the email address is working.
Hope this helps

Hari
